Are you missing one or more of your teeth? Restorative dentistry can repair and restore the natural look of your smile. With restorative dentistry treatments, you can smile with confidence again!
As holistic dentistry practitioners, Dr. Siddall and Dr. Burke seek to understand the underlying causes of your dental problems, along with treating your symptoms. Our goal is to rejuvenate your mouth and your self to overall health.
Mercury-Free Dental Fillings
For small cavities, tooth-colored dental fillings are an excellent choice. To protect your overall health, Dr. Siddall only uses mercury-free fillings to treat cavities. Not only are composite fillings safer, but they’re also more attractive!
Gentle Root Canal Therapy
If your tooth is suffering from a large crack, cavity, severe pain, or an abscess, Dr. Siddall or Dr. Burke might recommend gentle root canal therapy to help save it.
If the idea of a root canal makes you feel nervous, don’t let it! Your comfort is always our priority at Lisa Siddall, DDS and we have both oral sedation options and laughing gas to help you relax during root canal therapy. Some people even fall asleep during their root canal!
Our Lake Leelanau dentist office offers full-coverage dental crowns, made from luminous porcelain and Zirconia materials. These restorations offer beautiful aesthetic results that protect your natural tooth from further damage or decay. They’re also perfect for topping off your dental implants.
CEREC Same-Day Dental Crowns
Dr. Siddall and Dr. Burke use the CEREC crown restoration system. This system makes it possible for patients to receive a customized crown on the same day of their appointment rather than having to wait 2 weeks for a crown to be created and placed following treatment.
You don’t have to live with a gap in your smile! Our Lake Leelanau dental practice offers metal-free bridges, crafted from porcelain and Zirconia to replace your missing tooth. These durable white restorations enhance your smile’s health and appearance. The crown on either end is called an "abutment," and is bonded onto existing teeth to support the bridge.
Are you missing one or more of your teeth? Dr. Siddall is one of the only dentists in the Lake Leelanau area that surgically places dental implants in her own office, instead of referring you elsewhere for the surgical phase.
Dental implants are titanium posts implanted in your jaw that act as artificial “tooth roots”, permanently anchoring your new tooth, bridge or denture. Due to its biocompatible properties, the titanium fuses with your natural bone to create a strong base for your replacement crown. Your replacement tooth will be carefully crafted to look natural and fit into your overall appearance seamlessly.
Dental Implant Restoration
Problems with dental implants are rare, but they do happen. If you notice your dental implant has loosened, is causing your gum to swell, or the crown on top of your implant is cracked, call Dr. Siddall or Dr. Burke right away! A dental implant can’t fix itself and if you try to treat it yourself, you could end up causing more damage to your mouth.
Full and Partial Dentures
For patients missing all their teeth, we offer traditional dentures to give you back the function, feel and appearance of your natural teeth. For optimal aesthetics, we also flexible smile replacements for partial areas of missing teeth.
At Lisa Siddall, DDS, our dentures are custom-made for each patient. However, as your mouth changes and adjusts to dentures, they don't adjust to your mouth. This means that as time goes on your dentures may begin to feel too loose or too tight, you might experience chafing or irritation on your gums.
Our restorative dentists are able to offer services to fix these issues and any others you experience while wearing your dentures. If your dentures no longer fit correctly, are damaged or are causing your discomfort, call our Lake Leelanau area dental office today to schedule an appointment.
